Called Bets in Roulette - Basic Info
In roulette, bets have many series and combinations of numbers and those has also different names. There is different arrangement of those on a roulette wheel and on the layout. So those series are created depending on their position and relation with other numbers on the wheel. When you play European or French roulette you should always remember, that this game comprises some additional bets, also celled call bets.
Definition of Called Bets
Jeu Zero:
Jeu Zero implies those numbers that lie near the zero. These numbers are -12, 3, 35, 26, 0, 15 and 32.
Voisins Du Zero:
It is the name for those numbers that are situated near zero on the roulette wheel. The number 22 and 25 are also included. The series of this number is 22, 18, 29, 7, 28, 12, 35, 3, 26, 0, 32, 15, 19, 4, 21, 2, and 25. This bet is used only for the single zero wheels.
The Third or Tiers:
Those numbers that lie on the reverse side of the roulette wheel are called "The third" or Tiers. These numbers are 27, 36, 13, 11, 8, 30, 23, 5, 10, 24, 33, and 16 (on a single 0 wheel).
This bet is usually split into 5 smaller parts that includes the following groups of numbers: 5/8; 13/16; 10/11; 23/24; 33/36 27/30.
Orphelins or Orphans:
This bet, called Orphans in English, is placed from both sides of the Thirds or Ties bet. It takes the following numbers: 14, 34, 6 from the one side and 1, 20, 14, 31, 9 from the other side.
"The Neighbors and XX":
This bet is loved by the players who believe in biased wheels but want to have some additional protection from losing. Neighbors of the XX bet is placed on 5 numbers – the main number lies in the center and two numbers from the each side of this number are also involved.
Finals or Finales en Plein
According to this bet, you choose all numbers on the roulette wheel that end up in common digits. For example, if you choose numbers ending on 6, the bet will be placed on the following numbers: 6, 16, 26, 36.
There is also a subtype of Finals bet that is called Finales a Cheval. In this type of bet two digits are used for creating a sequence of numbers. It means that if you choose 2 and 4, than the bet will be placed on the following numbers: 2, 4, 12, 14 , 22, 24, 32, 34.
