Hi folks, I had to write this one by myself this week because Maurice is exhausted and fast asleep on the couch at the moment. How much can one guy do? Let’s give him a break, shall we?

We’re doing something a little different this week. We decided it was high time to get together, meet each other and give everyone a well-deserved pat on the back for a job well done So we threw a party and we’d like to share it with you all.

The party was organized by Marilyn Durrell, the wife of our president, Dewey, and myself. We called all the people involved and asked them to bring something to eat. Didn’t they all
show up early, bringing great food to share, the table was loaded with goodies, and everybody had a wonderful time.

We had people of all ages, both French and English, from Knowlton, Warden, Waterloo, Mansonville and other towns in the area. I think I probably spent the whole first hour of the party making name-tags for each person as they arrived. This was a really good idea, because not everyone knew each other and thus it saved time, not having to introduce yourself over and over, and everyone could see who they were talking to at a glance, and what they do at CIDI.

The facility is wonderful, plenty of space, nicely painted (by volunteers of course, who else?) Later in the evening, the overhead lights were turned off, and table lamps were placed around the room to make things cozy.

So, here are some photos from our party, people obviously having a good time.

Once again we invite you to participate in a great new beginning. Help build a great community by calling 1-888-539-2098 or 450-242-9873. Become a member and volunteer. Come and express yourself, make some new friends, and most of all, it’s really a lot of fun!

Give us a listen, you may be surprised by what you hear. And we always want to hear from you, because, after all, we are here to serve the community.
