Jacques Lecours on Monday August 9th, 2010
Michael Hynes at CIDI

Guest: Michael Hynes

Born in Luxemburg, Mike Hynes was brought up in Quebec and is bilingual, which caused the around Town show to tip back and forth like a ship at sea between English and French.

Hynes is a composer and has to his credit over 140 compositions, one of which is to be performed by the Vancouver Symphony orchestra. He is still very active as a performer and manages between 75 to 100 gigs a year. One of his favourite places to play is the Cafe Inn in Knowlton on Thursday nights because “the ambience is great, there’s a good energy in the room and the audience enjoys the music.”
